New Hotness
Deer and sparrows are old and busted and I guess butterflies are the new hotness...Greg Kucera has Jane Hammond showing handmade "butterfly map" works and Gagosian Gallery has Damien Hirst killing a shit load of them for his monumental cathedraleque "paintings"... Damien Hirst
Welcome to That Ain’t Art- a collaboration by four art aficionados focused on the alternative art scene in the Northwest and beyond. We hail from Roq la Rue Gallery (Kirsten and Celeste), BLVD Gallery (Damion), and Fantagraphics (Larry)... so you’ll be seeing a lot of that type of work, but we’ll also be posting whatever else we like, that looks good and is likely to not get picked up by local press. Obviously, everything in here is the opinion of that particular poster. We’ll also be talking about relevant stuff outside of the Northwest, and we’ll have some notable guest bloggers hipping you to the good stuff, so stay tuned...
